MM Writer Assignment Process for PC
1. Client says they need a writer for marketing messages
2. Go to the Writer Google Doc (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgV7rpRlNfcSdEx5YVdqU3lxcmg3cGt1SEkwQnhCemc&usp=sharing)
3. Email a writer that has time available
4. If the writer is available, add them to LGED
5. Add them to your project on LGED – look at the video below on how to add people to a project on LGED. Be sure to add correct project permissions (make sure they are create & manage)! -

Process for new STWP Clients
1. Meagan – add to Members Area on CW Wishlist Member
2. Meagan – add to STWP Clients Google Doc
3. Meagan – send them Welcome to STWP Email

5. PC needs to set up new client in LGED

301 Redirects: protocol for project coordinators and developers
Project Coordinators will need to instruct the developers to create 301 redirects if a page exists on a site, but will be changing its URL.
You must make sure the 301 redirects are done correctly, because if it is not your client could lose thousands of Google views that apply to their search link equity, rendering them essentially starting from scratch, which is quite disastrous from an SEO perspective. You can make a spreadsheet in Excel or a Google doc, or simply list them in LGED. But the essential message must be that there is an OLD URL that will now change to a NEW URL, and the PC (not the developer) is responsible for determining those. There are two main types.
One, the Orenstein model, where the URL is kept, but page names are changed:

NEW:Â http://www.orensteinsolutions.com/teen-counseling/
There is also second type, the Joseph Weiss type, where the URL is completely new:

Technically speaking, developers must make sure that all redirects from A to B are:
-301: if the redirect is permanent and we want the seo juice from A to be passed to B.
-302: if its something temporal, like when a site is under construction and we want to temporarily redirect all visitor to an Under Construction page.. in this case, the seo juice is retained by A.A good and free plugin for WordPress: http://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/

If a client wants a very specific color from another website on their website, you can download the app “Colorzilla” – http://www.colorzilla.com/
It allows you to capture a color from a specific website, and it gives you the hex code for the color. You can then send this code to the developer to add to the website.

I think by setting the Group By to “Don’t Group” will give you the total time so no need to export in excel and add them manually.
