How long does a typical Free Report process take?
A high quality report can take anywhere between 6-7 hours. Our hourly rate on writing is $40 an hour, so its will cost anywhere between $240 and $280.

I have a new STWP client who wants blogging 4X a month and marketing messages for all specialty pages. What is the process for PCs in assigning writers?

Just like with developers, there is not process. We need to figure this out!
You can assume that the new guys aren’t loaded up yet, so grab them! You can also always check with Juliana and Jessie to see if they think they have availability. Ask how fast they can turn it around.

What do you do with content on a site if they are transferring to a WordPress site?
One of our STWP sent me an email saying she wants to save all the content on her current, non-WP site to reference in the future. What is the best way to do this? Have the client copy and paste the content into a word doc? Or will the content be safe in the old site for an extended period of time?
This client is quite needy, and I would hate to lose the content. That would equal a very unhappy woman.

mm she doesnt need to copy it to word, we can just dump all the site to a temporary, hidden folder. Even more, there is no need to take it out of the server..

Thanks @juan-villegas. Milena is the developer on this. What would be the best thing for me to tell her in regards to saving the content then? Dump it into a hidden folder or just leave it on the server?

Understanding Our Hosting Options
$20/month plan: SECURITY PLAN
The Problem:
Sites get hacked all the time. If your site gets hacked, it will cost anywhere between $100-250 to get it fixed. Besides having to clean up the mess, if malware is inserted into your site and you don’t know it (many clients don’t notice when this happens), you can then be blacklisted by Google, McAffee, etc. and your site gets de-indexed. Recovery from being blacklisted is slow.The Solution:
Because this has become such a problem, we’ve created a system to both CHECK client’s sites regularly for malware, and to stay on top of what needs to be done to PREVENT malware attacks (as much as possible).Our $20/month hosting plan includes not only the hosting itself (saves you $10/month in hosting fees) but also malware monitoring, website backups, WordPress and plugin upgrades. We do the following:
- WP Upgrades: Since outdated WP versions make you susceptible to being hacked, we automatically upgrade your WordPress software when a new release is made available.
- Plugin Upgrades: Since outdated plugins make you susceptible to being hacked, we automatically upgrade your plugins when a new release is made available.
- Malware Monitoring: Since it’s important to catch any malware placement early, we scan your site to check on malware every 6 hours. If malware is detected, we immediately clean your site before you get blacklisted by Google, McAfee, etc.
- Website Backups: We automatically make a full backup of your site and all it’s files and data each month. If your site does get taken out with malicious code, we can easily get you back up and running.
If you have your own hosting, we encourage you to ensure that you have all of these protections in place, yourself. If you do this for yourself, you will probably spend more than $20/month.
$50/month plan: PREMIUM PLAN
This is our premium hosting plan. It includes everything described above PLUS up to one hour’s worth of technical work on your website. The normal charge for technical work is $60/hour. If you need some work each month (us adding your blog posts, make small changes, etc.) this technical hour will cost you only $30 additional, beyond the $20 for other services. Deal.
If you don’t update your site regularly, this plan isn’t for you. -

How much do we charge clients per hour?
Answer from Becky:
- STWP clients are $50 per hour.
- Older sites had a contract that included a defined set of work for a certain price, and then anything beyond that was $60/hour. We will be glad to move beyond that old contractual amount.

Keep in mind that STWP is a special discounted price — for the whole package. If old clients ask for one-off little projects post site development, our standard rate is $60 / hour. AND, we may be increasing that in 2014.
Bottom line, you should always defer to me on cost conversations with clients!
