Standard Message for Contact Form & Mailpoet

    Hey everyone,

In today’ PC meeting, we decided it would be best to add a task to the template, and just be more mindful, of the messaging that we put into the Contact Form plugin and Mailpoet. To make it easier, we came up with a standard message for each. Tweak as the client wishes.

Contact Form: “Thank you for contacting me. I will reply to you as soon as possible”

Optin Box on site: “Thank you for requesting my free report. Check your inbox now to confirm your subscription.”
    Optin Email Confirmation:

    • Email Subject – Confirm Your Report Download
    • Email Text:

    “Hello!

Thanks for requesting my free report. In order to receive your report and to activate your subscription to the list, please click the link below:

Click here to confirm your subscription. (link)”

for Email Subject for optin: Let’ say “Confirm Your Report Download”
and for the Email Text, let’s say:

Thank you for requesting my free report. In order to receive the report and to activate your subscription to the list, please click the link below:

Click here to confirm your subscription. (link)”

Hey Becky – I made the changes you requested 🙂

We recently added a step in the STWP template – http://screencast.com/t/b42MRQJj

Do you want me to still add another task specifically for mailpoet to change admin to client name?

Yes. Clients won’t want their messages coming from Admin.

Another addition to this convo re Mailpoet:

When the person confirms their optin, Mailpoet’s default page is this: http://screencast.com/t/d1Paz45wD9q

It says You’ve subscribed to: My first list

Yup, we’ve added you to our list. You’ll hear from us shortly.

This needs to be changed, obviously.

So, first the list needs to be changed to named appropriately.
Second, the messaging on this page need say: Thank you for confirming your report request. The report will be send to you shortly. Please check your email.

Then, finally, the person should get one final email sending them the free report. This is currently not working on the site I’m testing, so I don’t know what the messaging says, but it should be cleaned up, I’m sure!
