What image files to request from a designer

I have a client who was asking about which files to request from a designer for his logo.

Here is Juliette’s response:

“They should always get the original files – which usually are .eps,.tiff, .ai, .psd also know as ‘vector’ and always get .jpegs. The original files can be used for alterations to the image really easily. jpegs cannot be altered without losing quality or having to recreate them. So EITHER – .psd, OR .ai OR .eps OR .tiff – they don’t have to have all of them just at least one original”
